They say you can judge a happy ship by how long the crew stays aboard. At Hawco Volkswagen we like to think we fit the “happy” bill perfectly with 25% of our 146 staff having served more than 10 years with us, 15% more than 25 years, 13 members of staff with 30 years under their belts and one just about to mark his 40th anniversary with Hawco.
That’s quite a record and one we are immensely proud of in an industry where staff turnover can be high. Six of our managers - Irene Fairweather, Hamish MacKay and David McGrath at Inverness, Ken Hammond and Colin Milne at Elgin and David Westland at Peterhead - can tot up 140 years of service between them.
